Insecurity: CSO backs Buhari’s threat to crush separatist groups

A civil society, Vanguard for Peace and National Development has thrown its weights behind President Muhammadu Buhari’s pledge to crush separatists groups in the country.

In a statement by its Executive Director, Ahmed Tijani, the CSO also asked President Buhari to probe the “unholy alliances between some highly placed politicians with managers of the various security outfits in the country.”

The group argued that president Buhari’s zero tolerance for the activities of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) speaks volumes of his resolve to ensure Nigeria remained an indivisible entity.

It particularly wondered why heads of security agents in the country have failed to hold the Senate Chief Whip, Enyinnaya Abaribe accountable for standing surety for the leader of IPOB, Mr. Nnamdi Kanu who jumped bail.
